DarLink AI voice options and memory tiers

When you return to a companion, you may care about both the sound of a reply and where the conversation left off. DarLink's voice messaging and memory tiers address those different needs. Choose the voice selection you want, then keep the story's essential context close at hand.

A plan's voice count tells you how many choices it lists, not how many audio messages or call minutes you receive. Likewise, the names Basic, Enhanced and Living do not define a retention period or tell you exactly how much conversation will be recalled.

Read voice selection and memory as separate plan features

The plans pair the voice selections below with different memory tiers. Compare the entries for what they say, without converting a memory name into a guaranteed number of saved conversations or remembered events.

Try dialogue that belongs to the character

Use the voice preferences available during customization and in your account. To judge a tone, give the character an ordinary line to deliver. A fictional adult lighthouse guide welcoming visitors to an afternoon tour gives you a clearer listening example than an elaborate dramatic speech.

If playback is offered, listen for whether the delivery fits the role you have imagined. Check specific accent, language, cloning or calling requirements against the available features; the voice-count figure is not a specification for them. Selecting a companion voice does not by itself add speech to a video.

Record the few facts the next exchange depends on

For the lighthouse scene, a useful note might say that the tour has reached the lantern room while another visitor is waiting downstairs. Keep that event separate from a preference such as wanting short, friendly replies. You can then restate what matters without repeating the whole story.

  1. Write down who the fictional adult characters are and what each is doing.
  2. Summarize the latest agreed event, such as arriving at the lantern room.
  3. Include details that constrain the next scene, including where another character is waiting.
  4. Add the open question or decision you want to return to.
  5. Use the note when continuing and point out any reply that contradicts it.

Treat memory and a saved copy differently

Keep a separate copy of writing you would want to recover, including character details and summaries. DarLink's terms do not promise that created content will always remain stored or retrievable. A memory feature helps frame a conversation; it is not a permanent archive.

Common questions

How many voice options do DarLink's plans offer?

Essential includes 6 standard choices. Advanced and Ultimate each list 10 premium choices. Check the available selections for a particular voice or language; the count does not describe an audio-use allowance.

What does the Living memory name guarantee?

It identifies a plan tier, not flawless or permanent recall. Keep important story details in your own notes and supply them again when a conversation needs context.

Does choosing a different voice change how a character behaves?

Use the character's personality choices and your messages to express the behavior you want. A voice preference concerns sound; it does not replace instructions about interests, temperament or boundaries.

Is a written recap useful without knowing the context limit?

Yes. State the current situation and the facts needed for the next reply. A recap works as ordinary conversation context without relying on a specific memory size or a special command.

Can I use a companion's voice as dialogue in a generated clip?

Check the video's explicit audio features before planning spoken lines. Character voice messaging and video generation are distinct, so the voice selection alone is not a promise of dialogue or lip synchronization.
