Make sure the still contains the action's ingredients
Imagine a fictional adult tailor beside a table with a folded scarf. Lifting the scarf is a scene you can describe when the table, scarf and hands are visible. A tightly cropped face would give that request much less visual context.
Examine the starting picture first. Check the pose, face and any item the character will touch. If the scarf is already misshapen or a hand looks wrong, choose or revise the still rather than expecting movement to fix it.
Carry the source image into the video request
Choose Video in the generator and select the existing character or image you want to animate. Keep the motion instructions about this subject and scene instead of adding a different location or introducing another character.
- Locate the character picture that contains the scene you want.
- Move to Video and select the existing-image starting point.
- Explain the main movement and name the visual details you want to preserve.
- Review the available output choices, any access restriction and the token total.
- Submit once, then watch the completed clip before deciding whether to make a further request.
Describe the movement without replacing the picture
For the tailor, ask for a slow lift of the folded scarf from the table while the framing remains steady. Specify that the outfit and room should stay the same. The instruction gives you a clear action to assess without combining a wardrobe change, a new background and several camera moves.
If you want another attempt, first identify the mismatch. The scarf may not have moved as intended, or an unrelated detail may have changed. Address that problem directly in the next brief rather than lengthening it with instructions unrelated to the action.
Allow for the image and animation as separate requests
Video is listed at 20 tokens. A source image you need to generate first has its own listed 2-token charge. Read the actual total at each stage, including any access requirement. Repeated animation attempts are not covered by unlimited messages, and an unwanted result does not establish an automatic refund.
Common questions
Can I reuse a DarLink image as the source for animation?
Yes. Select an existing character or picture for the video request. Using that source is different from describing the same subject again and hoping for an identical new image.
Can the source be a picture made outside DarLink?
Check the upload controls and file requirements shown in your account before relying on an outside file. Support for animating a DarLink image does not by itself tell you which external files are accepted.
How closely will the video match the original picture?
Use the source as a reference, not a guarantee of frame-by-frame identity. Review the full clip for changes to the character, clothing and objects before deciding whether it fits your purpose.
Can I make an intimate animation from another person's image?
Use fictional adult characters for this workflow. Do not repurpose someone else's private photograph or recognizable likeness for intimate, misleading or non-consensual changes.
Will the animation have spoken audio or music?
Only plan for sound when the video request explicitly offers it. Describing movement or selecting a companion voice does not establish a soundtrack, spoken dialogue or lip synchronization.
